Open Studio Hours*
Please note: The events listed on this page are for Fellows only, unless indicated as a Teen Art Lab (TAL) or Gallery event.
Saturdays: 12 – 4PM
Sundays: 11AM – 4PM
Monday-Tuesday: 3 – 7PM
*These are our general open studio hours, but they may vary. We’re closed some Saturdays, and daily hours can change — check the calendar for the most current schedule.

Open Studio is a space for students to develop their individual artistic practices. With access to supplies and materials, they are encouraged to work independently while also collaborating with their peers to build a vibrant arts community rooted in shared knowledge and making.

Fellowship Readiness Class for 2026 Summer Fellows. Participants will take part in a structured critique session designed to build comfort with giving and receiving feedback, introduce key critique strategies, and deepen engagement with their peers.

Fellowship Readiness Class for 2026 Summer Fellows. Participants will engage in an intensive 2D workshop with drawing professor Danielle Sierra, focusing on foundational drawing techniques, observation, composition, and more.

CAM’s Summer Intensive is a five-week program for alumni that creates a space for exploration, technical growth, and intellectual curiosity. The program equips participants with the skills and confidence to take the next step in their post-secondary journey.

Move-in day for 2026 Summer Fellows

Our four week residential program brings together 25 rising 11th and 12th grade visual artists through a competitive portfolio review. Fellows create in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and art history, earning college credit in Drawing and Art History at the University of Memphis. They explore Memphis’ best galleries and cultural institutions and finish the month with an unforgettable week in New York City, visiting world renowned artists’ studios, top galleries, and iconic institutions like The Met.
